Sharon,

I believe I posted a reply (maybe not).  In any case, you should be able to duplicate the
functionality of CommonsHTTPSender (i.e. extend BasicHandler or just implement org.paache.axis.Handler)
with whatever HTTP library you want to use and then configure that as your pivot.
