Subject [jira] [Commented] (AXIOM-371) Add the version for the Axiom api bundle export package

Andreas Veithen commented on AXIOM-371:
---------------------------------------

I don't think that it is possible to deploy different versions of the Axiom OSGi bundles into
the same container instance. The reason is that each of the implementation bundles (axiom-impl
and axiom-dom) registers a service (of type OMMetaFactory) and the axiom-api bundle tracks
these services. If multiple versions are deployed, then this will cause inconsistencies.

I think that a bundle that exports interfaces implemented by services registered by other
bundles should always be a singleton bundle, but (not being an OSGi expert) I may be wrong
here.

> As the Axiom API bundle export package doesn't have version , it cause some trouble when
you deploy different version of Axiom API bundle into OSGi container at the same time.
