This proposal needs a JSR 168 Implementation which is Jetspeed-2 (got checked into CVS a few days back - http://cvs.apache.org/viewcvs/jakarta-jetspeed-2). The Portlet API jar (codename pluto) itself will be in Jetspeed-2 soon (http://www.mail-archive.com/jetspeed-dev%40jakarta.apache.org/msg07068.html).
