Subject [jira] [Commented] (WHIRR-612) CDH4 can be installed on Ubuntu now as well as CentOS
Date Wed, 15 Aug 2012 14:24:38 GMT

Tom White commented on WHIRR-612:

When running CdhHadoopServiceTest you need to pass in -Dmr1=true since its test classpath
is different. E.g.

mvn verify -Pintegration -DargLine="-Dwhirr.test.provider=aws-ec2 \
-Dwhirr.test.identity=$AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID \
-Dwhirr.test.credential=$AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY \
-Dconfig=.whirr-test.properties" -Dit.test=CdhHadoopServiceTest \

Andrew has had CdhYarnServiceTest passing on AWS but there was a SOCKS error on Rackspace.

> CDH4 beta 1 was only available on CentOS, but from beta 2 onward, CDH4 has been available
on Ubuntu et al. So we should remove the hardcoding in tests and recipes for centos.
