Ok, I looked at manifest.mf and for some reason, it lists
axis2-kernel-1.1.1.jar,
not axis2-kernel-1.2.jar.
I downloaded your zip and looked at the manifest.mf there and it does list
axis2-kernel-1.2.jar. And so, the sample runs in this case.

Not sure what I am doing to make the difference.
