  * fulcrum-crypto 1.0.7 was released on 19 October 2009.
  * fulcrum-mimetype 1.0.5 was released on 3 November 2009.

META project
============

A committer from the past had expressed interest in updating META
to work with Maven 2, however nothing seemed to come from this.

Hi Shaista.

You have given very little information in your question. Normally what
people do is have their development tool (often Maven) produce a war
file which they can then deploy to tomcat.

Please use the user@turbine.apache.org list for any further questions -
a few more people look at that list so you may get a quicker response.

Apache Turbine Project Board Report, May 2008

Status
======

The Turbine project continues on with its usual fairly low level of
activity. This quarter there was a burst of activity from those present
at ApacheCon eu.

The Turbine project has no board-level issues at this time.

Community changes
=================

No new committers were voted in since the last board report.

No new PMC members were voted in since the last board report.

Turbine core project
====================

There has been quite a bit of progress towards Turbine 2.3.3:

     * Thomas Vandahl has added l10n support to the ParameterParser
(cleaning up the code quite a bit in the process) and integrated this
into the Intake validation service. In the process of doing this Thomas
has removed a few undesirable service interdependencies, thus resolving
a long standing stumbling block on our quest to separate the services
out of turbine core.
     * Dependency versions have been updated.

The 2.3.3 release is now pretty much ready to go. Thomas Vandahl is
mentoring Juergen Hoffmann through the release process.

Discussion on the naming of a future trunk release has been kicked off.
The possibility of jumping to "Turbine 4" is being considered.

Henning stopped by and committed a DOAP file for the Turbine project.

No beta or final releases were made since the last board report.

Fulcrum component project
=========================

Siegfried Goeschl continues to commit tweaks to the fulcrum components
as well as some work on migrating the build process to Maven 2. Thomas
has also been maintaining fulcrum components in parallel with the
equivalent changes to turbine core.

No beta or final releases were made since the last board report.

TLP migration is mostly done. The largest outstanding issue is to
migrate our download pages over from Jakarta. Other than this
development activity has been very low this month.

The most immediate challenge we have is addressing the requirement
to register Turbine's cryptographic capabilities as per
http://apache.org/dev/crypto (ECCN codes). This was mentioned on
last month's report, but a query via the dev list has put pressure
on us to action this.

We have no board-level issues at this time.

=== Community changes ===

No new committers were voted in since the last board report.

No new PMC members were voted in since the last board report.

=== Turbine core project ===

No major activity this month. A minor problem relating to DTD
references being redirected from jakarta to turbine was
identified and fixed. Further work on localization is being
discussed and the ECCN code issue mentioned above came up.

No beta or final releases were made since the last board report.

=== Fulcrum component project ===

No major activity this month. A minor build problem relating to

the report directly to it (in

Hm, there is a way for moderators to find out who is on the lists that
they moderate. I could have sworn that there is the same thing for
subscribers. :-(

Must dig a bit more.

The mailing list archives have now been moved over to the turbine project.

There appears to be a problem with the turbine-tdk-dev archive, I am
following this up with infrastructure (this is the list I have requested
be decommissioned).

The general archive shows a directory listing at present, but should
start working after *this* message is archived.

The project.xml and pom.xml files for all of the deployed sites all
point to the new location, and redirects are in place for the old
locations anyway.

Infrastructure have set up our new general and private lists - Thanks
Infrastructure!

Our new TLP site is up at http://turbine.apache.org/ - I will look at
getting the Jakarta site updated in the next few days.

There was an old list called tdk-dev that was also migrated. I have
just sent a message to that list indicating that it will be closed down
and have asked infra to do so.

Please see http://turbine.apache.org/contact.html for details of the
