ATS's cache doesn't distinguish between the object type - the objects in cache are just stored
as raw octets downloaded from the Origin server.
You will need to handle encoding the appropriate formats for your use case separately.

cache progressive download videos but no idea how it handles HTTP 
adaptive video's(DASH,HLS , HDS).
