Yes. So far the modified gzip isn't giving me any problems. I have managed http connections
of 28000<tel:28000> concurrency totaling upto 200000<tel:200000> requests using
ApacheBench.

Out of curiosity, there are a couple of bugs with suggested fixes for the
gzip plugin. Assuming those have not been applied to trunk, did you try them
in your setup ?
