I don't know if this is relevant, but I when I saw the values I emailed I
was in a remote debugging session.

I was running Spring Tool Suite on Windows (7, I think) and hooking up to
my app running on Linux centos (7, I think).

Tomcat and apache are also running on the Linux system.
