Hello Muralidhar,

thank you for your quick reply.

I realize that the absolute startup time in my test is not very long. What concerns me is
the difference 
between the startup times of tomcat 6 and tomcat 8 with the very same application.

I wonder, if the longer startup time could be the result of some misconfiguration or misuse
I do not see.
