What is the "Tomcat console"?

Have you set swallowOutput="true" in any of your <Context> elements
(check CATALINA_BASE/context.xml,
CATALINA_BASE/conf/[engine]/[host]/[webapp].xml, and your web app's
META-INF/context.xml files)?
