Can you repeat the problem? What version of Tomcat are you running?
What is your <Connector> configuration?

What kind of request (method) are you sending?

I could imagine an incomplete POST (that is, client sends
Content-Length: 50 then only sends 49 bytes) and Tomcat eventually
times out. In that case, you should get some kind of 400 response but
there could be other issues occurring.
