I'm no Comet expert, but any HTTP client ought to work, right? Comet is

You can probably just issue a bunch of HTTP GET and POST messages
yourself to trigger these events, no?

How about wget? You can use a file to specify all the URLs to request,
and it defaults to "keepalive".
