Subject [OT] fail2ban and tomcat access logs
Date Mon, 18 Aug 2008 12:57:48 GMT
I was wondering if anyone has any experience using fail2ban http://www.fail2ban.org/
with tomcat access logs generated by access log valve. Specifically I would like to "jail"
all
attempts at accessing the manager, or perhaps php or cgi on my server. The problem I have
is that
the logs have dates as part of the name, which is nice since I don't need to fool with logrotate,
but I am not sure of the best way to set the logpath ?

Is this a reasonable tool to use or should I just use a remote access valve on the manager?
