How can I find out if I have an Apache HTTPD server??? Or if it listens = to port 80??? The folders under my Tomcat goes like this (very simlilar to the one in SUSE): + Tomcat + bin + common + conf =B7 web.xml =B7 server.xml + logs + server=20 + shared + webapps + myapp =B7 index.htm (here is another redirect to the login page) + ROOT =B7 index.htm (this one has the redirect I mentioned in the first mail) + work This is all local, and I don't think I have anything else installed. Do I require more software in order to solve this problem??? Thanks again, Federico. -----Mensaje original----- De: David Delbecq [mailto:delbd+jakarta@oma.be]=20 Enviado el: Wednesday, January 30, 2008 15:16 Para: Tomcat Users List Asunto: Re: Redirect "HOST" to "HOST:PORT" Just use the same trick you already do. This time, instead of putting = your index.html at ROOT, put it under the root folder of an apache httpd = server for that host. This assumes you run an apache httpd server on that = server and it listens to port 80. falvarez@geocom.com.uy a =E9crit : >> I'm running tomcat 5.0 in a SUSE environment. >> To access the webapp the user has to enter in a web browser=20 >> "app.server:8443" and it automatically redirects to=20 >> "https://app.server:8443/myapp/servlet/login" (this is made with an=20 >> index.htm in the ROOT context).
