I tried 

 <servlet-name>action</servlet-name>
 <url-pattern>/mymodule/sexy*</url-pattern>
 <url-pattern>/mymodule/sexy</url-pattern>
<url-pattern>/sexy*</url-pattern>
 <url-pattern>/sexy</url-pattern>

and none of it seems to work.
