Subject AW: JSP precompilation

OR

you could use a small JSP page which goes through all JSP files
of your webapp and include them, which in turn leads to a compilation
of the JSP pages...

call this precomp.jsp after deployment of your webapp, which could be 
automated using a deployment script ...
