Sun has released a new TZupdater that updates the existing java installation including the
one I'm trying to update.  
You can go here to read about it.
To download the updater go here: look for 'JDK US DST Timezone Update Tool -
You'll have to register to download the updater.

Looked at that, but the version on the server doesn not have a patch.
