Carlos,

The javadoc indicates that the methods are deprecated,
but it looks like you could use:

HttpSession mySess = request.getSession();

// getSessionContext() is deprecated
HttpSessionContext sessCtx =
mySess.getSessionContext();

// getSession(String) is deprecated
HttpSession otherSess =
sessCtx.getSession("otherSessId");
