It's integrated with mod_proxy, so most of the directives are at:
  http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/mod_proxy.html

e.g. for the simplest of cases (proxy-all to myapp with local Tomcat):
  ProxyPass /myapp ajp://localhost:8009/myapp

To implement load-balancing, you'll also want:
  http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/mod_proxy_balancer.html
