the default key generation algorithm is DSA
try man keytool if u are on a linux machine
but u can specify ur own algoithm when u generating a key like
      %JAVA_HOME%\bin\keytool -genkey -alias tomcat -keyalg RSA (Windows)
    $JAVA_HOME/bin/keytool -genkey -alias tomcat -keyalg RSA (Unix)
