The servlet container create a single instance when tomcat is started and listen for request.Each
request spawn a new thread that execute the service methods (doGet,doPost etc).So miltiple
request will spawn multiple threads. You can understand it more when you are familiar with
Threads.

That is why when you are writing your servlet make sure that shared variable are synchronized
