At the very least you will want to setup a ro= ot logger. See the log4j documentation for this or use the Tomcat 5.5 loggi= ng page Cheers, Allistair. > -----Original Message----- > From: Rog=E9rio Saulo [mailto:rogerio.saulo@gmail.com] > Sent: 06 May 2005 14:30 > To: tomcat-user@jakarta.apache.org > Subject: Problem with Log4J starting TOMCAT 5.5.9 >=20 >=20 > HI,=20 > I have installed TOMCAT 5.5.9 on my Windows XP jdk 1.5.0 and=20 > when I start=20 > the server I receive the following error : >=20 > log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger ( > org.apache.catalina.startup.ClassLoaderFactory). > log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly. > The server starts, but the logs are broken. > Thanks > Rogerio >=20 =20 ------------------------------------------------------- QAS Ltd.
