Using db pool.
DB responding to other apps (outside Tomcat).


 >mysqladmin extended-status -u username -p

 and see how many connections are open.

Compare to the max connections in the connection pool.

Try adding the removeAbandoned parameters to the dbcp setup.
Set log to true.
Sounds like you have a leak and are using up all of your connections in the
