Thanks Mladen, 

The document for Tomcat has explicitly emphasized NOT to add the lb
worker to the worker.list. Attached is my workers properties file.

Not if you don't send the workers.properties :).

You made some configuration error in workers properties.
Probably not added lb worker to worker.list
