There are no war files in the webapps directory.
The servlets-examples folder has all the html files unpacked.

If I take out the servlets-examples folder and restart tomcat, the 
errors do not show up.

Right now, tomcat is being run as root.

I have not touched the web.xml file.

I am running version 5.5.4

No other apps have been installed.
