I have forgotten to tell you that I am currently trying to run it from my 
Eclipse developpement tool. It may be important...

erm, no, there should *not* be a folder in WEB-INF/classes called 
org/apache. You should obtain the commons-collections.jar and place it in 
WEB-INF/lib
