So class aim.util.db.ConnectionPool should have
package aim.util.db;
at the top of its .java file, and ConnectionPool.class should be in your
webapp's WEB-INF/classes/aim/util/db directory.  

If all those are true, you should be all set.  There is no special
configuration needed in web.xml or server.xml.
