Tomcat 5.0 and 5.5 are the same thing in terms of the product line, i.e Tomcat as a Servlet
Container. Clearly 5.5 is the latest version which internally I believe is a fairly large
refactoring of how things were in 5.0 series. In terms of what you will get from 5.0 and 5.5
I think you pretty much get the same functionality for web applications, i.e they both support
the latest Servlet/JSP APIs. Always a good idea to stick with the latest stable release I
think which is 5.5.4.
