Also, you'll need something like the following in your web.xml.

<security-constraint>
<web-resource-collection>
<web-resource-name></web-resource-name>
<url-pattern>/*</url-pattern>
</web-resource-collection>
<user-data-constraint>
<transport-guarantee>CONFIDENTIAL</transport-guarantee>
</user-data-constraint>
</security-constraint>
