    IF you do want to configure a separate context, you would 
    want to do it inside server.xml. 

tc 5 documentation advises against this.


Try a simple xml file in
{catalina.home}/conf/Catalina/localhost
 (or whatever host you are using)

Content is

<Context 
  path="/SomeServlet" 
  docBase="SomeServlet" 
  debug="0" 
  reloadable="true"/>


Path as per the url you want to use, relative to {catalina.home}/webapps
docbase is the path to the webapp .class file in /WEB-INF/classes
