I don't want the error page to be index.html.  My LoginModule seems to have
autheticated the user, but I don't get to index.html.  Instead, I always got
loginError.html.

You shouldn't comment the line out.  If you want the the error page to 
be index.html versus loginError.html, then change that line so it 
becomes index.html
