Subject AW: Problem with custom error pages for Error 500 - Workaround ?
Date Wed, 28 Apr 2004 12:28:56 GMT
What Tomcat does is the following (you should also see that in your
server-out):
It tries to load the JSP/HTML-page you defined on a ErrorCode 500. If that
JSP throws an Exception during processing then Tomcat will NOT display any
JSP-compile-error or stuff, it will show its own error-page like you never
defined your own.

Hi Matt,

I'm not sure I understood. You mean problem is the jsp creates an
exception or should I make it do that?

My problem is not about not having error 500 pages. but when I have them I
want my custom error page shown.
