I would not use *any* software load balancer in production under load.
AOL has a problem, the incoming IP can change between requests as AOL users get routed through
different gateways. There are two
ways around this:

1. Force AOL users into HTTPS, that way their gateway stays the same
2. Use a load balancer (hardware, preferred) that sets a cookie to keep track of the route.

Do you happen to know if Pen deals with AOL clients? (I'm looking for a load balancer at the
moment that needs to preserve session
data and deal with a large number of AOL clients)
