change:
log4j.appender.myLogFile.File=mylog.log
to:
log4j.appender.myLogFile.File=/home/webhome/www.foo.com/WEB-INF/logs/myl
og.log
 
(obviously your paths will differ, but the point here is to make it an
absolute path)
