Yes, that was a bug in 5.0.x....I've fixed the problem this week so you 
may want to use the HEAD branch of Tomcat 5 
(http://cvs.apache.org/builds/jakarta-tomcat-5/nightly/).  I will look 
at the Tomcat 4.1.x and see if I've found something.
