Subject error with authenticated principal
Date Thu, 12 Jun 2003 18:07:56 GMT
I have several applications in my Tomcat webapps
directory for some reason following web.xml works for
one app but generates erorr for the other:

HTTP Status 500 - Configuration error: Cannot perform
access control without an authenticated principal

Here is the code:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE web-app PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems,
Inc.//DTD Web Application 2.3//EN"
"http://java.sun.com/dtd/web-app_2_3.dtd">

<web-app>
<security-constraint>
<web-resource-collection>
<web-resource-name>Restricted</web-resource-name>
<url-pattern>/</url-pattern>
</web-resource-collection>
<auth-constraint>
<role-name>user1</role-name>
<role-name>admin</role-name>
</auth-constraint>
</security-constraint>

<login-config>
<auth-method>BASIC</auth-method>
<realm-name>Client</realm-name>
</login-config>
</web-app>

Would really appreciate the help. The only difference
I guess is that application that gives me an error
uses Struts framework, but that really should affect
things.

Fedor.
