Subject RE: Tomcat 4.1.24 Startup.sh - bad interpreter error

RE: Tomcat 4.1.24 Startup.sh - bad interpreter errorI am using a windows
terminal to do my work but in an ssh terminal. I couldn't find any ^M
characters in startup.sh though. To be sure, and after checking versions of
startup.sh, I copied the one used with 4.1.18 to 4.1.24/bin but with no
luck, it had the same result.

If you've copied the file in binary mode from Windows, there could very
well be a ^M on the end of every line, so the shell is trying to run
catalina.sh using "/bin/sh^M".

Use od -c to check, and tr -d '\r' to remove them.
