there is a directive in web.xml in webapps/yourapp/WEB-INF folder named:
<servlet-mapping>
So, if you have a servlet named MyServlet
you got to say:
<servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>MyServlet</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/folder1/MyServlet</url-pattern>
</sevlet-mapping>
