Subject j2ee.jar, windows and linux
Date Mon, 19 May 2003 07:08:47 GMT
Hello,

Been all over the net for an answer to my problem, hope any on can help
“in here” :-)

I have a servlet where I am using some classes from j2ee.jar (besides
servlet). On my windows system I have placed the j2ee.jar I my
jre\lib\ext with no problem, every thing compiles and tomcat starts up.

On linux (Redhat 7.3) tomcat won't start with j2ee.jar in \jre\lib\ext
(and I can't compile if it is not there, and the system will fail when
it reaches the point where it needs the classes from the j2ee.jar)

I have nothing in my classpath regarding this.

I'm running Tomcat 4.1 and java 1.4 on both systems

Best regards

Rasmus Brøndsted
