Subject RE: how to run Tomcat on port 80 instead of 8080
Date Thu, 13 Feb 2003 00:36:15 GMT
In server.xml, where you should able to find the entry as follow:

    <!-- Define a non-SSL Coyote HTTP/1.1 Connector on port 8080 -->
    <Connector className="org.apache.coyote.tomcat4.CoyoteConnector"
               port="8080" minProcessors="5" maxProcessors="75"
               enableLookups="true" redirectPort="8443"
               acceptCount="10" debug="0" connectionTimeout="20000"
               useURIValidationHack="false" />

change the port to "80".

Though, I believe in UNIX/LINUX systems, which I am not too familar with,
there is restriction on using these well known ports.

Hope this will help.

Regards,
Michael
