CONNECTOR_HOME = /usr/local/src/jakarta-tomcat-connectors-jk-1.2.0-src 
cd CONNECTOR_HOME/jk/native
./buildconf.sh 
./configure --with-apxs=/some/path/to/apache/bin/apxs 
make 

The mod_jk.so file will be in CONNECTOR_HOME/jk/native/apache-1.3. Copy it
to your Apache modules directory.
