Your servlet is abc.Hello,
alias is hi
if you type URL /servlet/hi, or /welcomeme.xxx, it will invoke the servlet
<web-app>
  <servlet>
    <servlet-name>hi</servlet-name>
    <servlet-class>abc.Hello</servlet-class>
  </servlet>

  <servlet-mapping>
     <servlet-name>hi</servlet-name>
     <url-pattern>/welcomeme.xxx</url-pattern>
  </servlet-mapping>

</web-app>

either version support aliases for
servlets? If so, how do I specify the aliases?
