Subject RE: Apache 2.0.43 + Tomcat 4.1.18 + mod_jk

What are your Contexts in server.xml? Right now you have both hostnames
pointing to the same ROOT Context. Also, you cannot declare an Apache
VirtualHost container with the same ServerName twice, which is what you
have. If I were you, at a minimum, I would comment out those first two
VirtualHost containers in httpd.conf and restart Apache.

Subject: Apache 2.0.43 + Tomcat 4.1.18 + mod_jk

Hi,

I'm working on a system with Apache 2.0.43 + Tomcat 4.1.18 + mod_jk.so. I'm
using IP 203.xxx.xxx.xx. DNS has records for this IP and pointing to
site-i.websitetest.com and site-e.websitetest.com.

I have my JSP application running on /ROOT context. When I type
site-i.websitetest.com and site-e.websitetest.com both are poing to the main

page.i.e /var/tomcat4/webapps/ROOT/index.jsp.

Now I want to map site-i.websitetest.com
to /var/tomcat4/webapps/ROOT/common/Login.jsp.

My settings in httpd.conf and mod_jk.conf file are given below:

httpd.conf:
===========

NameVirtualHost 203.xxx.xxx.xx

<VirtualHost 203.xxx.xxx.xx>
    #ServerAdmin webmaster@dummy-host.example.com
    #DocumentRoot /www/docs/dummy-host.example.com
    ServerName site-i.websitetest.com
    DocumentRoot "/var/tomcat4/webapps/ROOT/common"
    #CustomLog logs/dummy-host.example.com-access_log common </VirtualHost>

<VirtualHost 203.xxx.xxx.xx>
    #ServerAdmin webmaster@dummy-host.example.com
    #DocumentRoot /www/docs/dummy-host.example.com
    ServerName site-e.websitetest.com
    DocumentRoot "/var/tomcat4/webapps/ROOT"
    #CustomLog logs/dummy-host.example.com-access_log common </VirtualHost>

Include /var/tomcat4/conf/auto/mod_jk_st.conf

<IfModule !mod_jk.c>
  LoadModule jk_module modules/mod_jk.so
</IfModule>

JkWorkersFile "/var/tomcat4/conf/jk/workers.properties"
JkLogFile "/var/tomcat4/logs/mod_jk.log"

JkLogLevel debug

JkMount / ajp13
JkMount /* ajp13

JkMount /common ajp13
JkMount /common/* ajp13

JkMount /examples ajp13
JkMount /examples/* ajp13

JkMount /jk ajp13
JkMount /jk/* ajp13

JkMount /test ajp13
JkMount /test/* ajp13

mod_jk_st.conf:
==============

<IfModule !mod_jk.c>
  LoadModule jk_module /usr/lib/apache/mod_jk.so
</IfModule>

JkWorkersFile "/var/tomcat4/conf/jk/workers.properties"
JkLogFile "/var/tomcat4/logs/mod_jk.log"

JkLogLevel info

<VirtualHost site-e.websitetest.com>
    ServerName site-e.websitetest.com

    JkMount / ajp13
    JkMount /* ajp13

    <Location "/WEB-INF/*">
        AllowOverride None
        deny from all
    </Location>

    <Directory "/var/tomcat4/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/">
         AllowOverride None
         deny from all
    </Directory>

</VirtualHost>

<VirtualHost site-i.websitetest.com>
    ServerName site-i.websitetest.com

    JkMount /common ajp13
    JkMount /common/* ajp13

    <Location "/WEB-INF/*">
        AllowOverride None
        deny from all
    </Location>

    <Directory "/var/tomcat4/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/">
         AllowOverride None
         deny from all
    </Directory>

</VirtualHost>

But the above settings does not work as desired. Still both the URLs are
pointing to the same site.

I need your advise on this.

Thanks
