Hmmm...I would have thought the configure script would have detected it, but
maybe that assumes that the compiler is in the $PATH when you run
configure...

BTW, don't think Sun will release Solaris 9 for Intel...ever.  I think
they're looking at marketing their own flavor of Linux for Intel.
