Hi,
I have this error with Tomcat 5.0 nightly build 20021031, an older 
version from 20021020 does not show this error.

But my main problem still exist (even with an older nightly build):

SCHWERWIEGEND: Javac execption
Unable to find a javac compiler;
com.sun.tools.javac.Main is not on the classpath.
Perhaps JAVA_HOME does not point to the JDK

2002-11-01 16:10:12 StandardWrapperValve[jsp]: Servlet.service() for 
servlet jsp threw exception
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Unable to compile class for JSP

An error occurred at line: -1 in the jsp file: null

Generated servlet error:
     [javac] Compiling 1 source file


The Apache errorlog shows:
