Subject mime-types
Date Mon, 14 Oct 2002 06:44:38 GMT
Hi,

I want tomcat to serve Exel(.xsl) and Snapshot (snp) files. I added the following mime-mapping
to the global web.xml in .../conf/web.xml.
But no Application is starting automaticaly at the client site. It seams that the mime-type
is text/plain.

If the same files where served from an Apache HTTP-Server everything works fine.

<mime-mapping>
    <extension>snp</extension>
    <mime-type>application/octet-stream</mime-type>
  </mime-mapping>
 <mime-mapping>
    <extension>xls</extension>
    <mime-type>application/vnd.ms-excel</mime-type>
  </mime-mapping>

Thanks
Günter Kukies
