I answered this a couple of days ago ... did it not reach the list?

You need to use "curly brackets" {} for the substitions, not parentheses ()

e.g.

             userPattern="uid={0},ou=people,dc=yikester,dc=net"

not

             userPattern="uid=(0),ou=people,dc=yikester,dc=net"
