"Best" is relative.  Most people seem to use mod_jk.  The current
implementation of mod_webapp has some limitations, mainly the inability to
distinguish between static and dynamic content.  If you use mod_webapp, all
content in a particular location will be served by tomcat, instead of just
servlets and JSPs.

I try to avoid apache .0 releases, so I am running apache 1.3.  That said, I
posted a How-To on setting up apache + tomcat + mod_jk on RH last week, you
can see it here: http://www.johnturner.com/howto/apache-tomcat-howto.html .
I'm not sure how different apache 2.0.x would be, perhaps someone else on
the list can help out with that.

Tomcat 4.0.4
Apache 2.0.39
java 1.4.0

I've seen the 3 connectors
which is the best?
