Download the drivers from Microsoft:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/downloads/default.asp?URL=/downloads/sample.as
p?url=/msdn-files/027/001/779/msdncompositedoc.xml

Copy these jars into your Tomcat/Lib folder for Server wide access or
into the lib folder of a specific web application

Msbase.jar
Mssqlserver.jar
Msutil.jar

Use this syntax for connecting

<!-- Code Block -->

try
{
	Class.forName( "com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver" )
;
	String conString =
"jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://localhost:1433;DatabaseName=master";
	Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection(conString, "sa",
"password");
}

catch( ClassNotFoundException e ) {
}
catch( SQLException e ) {
}
<!-- End Code Block -->

The help files that come with the JDBC Driver from Microsoft will have
more detail.

Subject: tomcat & MS SQL server 2000

I have to set up a tomcat web application to work with MS SQL server
2000. What is the best way to do this?

Thank you,

Kyle
